Elementary School

Elementary School

We are committed to providing a well-rounded education that goes above and beyond in preparing students for success both inside and outside the classroom.

Preparing your student well for the future.

As a private elementary school in Naperville, we offer differentiated learning environments that are effective in catering to the individual learning styles and needs of each student. Our licensed teachers and capped class sizes will help make sure your student gets the attention and help they need to thrive.

Curriculum

Offering a biblical worldview education can help students understand and appreciate the value of faith in their lives, as well as provide a moral compass for making decisions. Enrichments such as Spanish, Art, Music, and Technology work to broaden students' perspectives and skills while helping them explore their interests and passions.

The curriculum is aligned with Illinois State Standards to ensure that students meet a minimum level of proficiency. Elementary classrooms use a variety of curriculum publishers including Association of Christian School International (ACSI), Bob Jones University Press (BJU Press), and ABeka. In addition, Accelerated Reader by Renaissance Learning and MobyMax are utilized.

Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten

Our kindergarten classes give young learners the strong foundation they need to succeed academically and developmentally. If you’re looking for a private kindergarten in Naperville, schedule a tour of Calvary Christian School!

Our Junior Kindergarten program is designed for children who turn five between September 1 and December 31, giving them a joyful and developmentally appropriate bridge year before entering kindergarten. In this structured, nurturing learning environment, students build foundational academic skills, grow in independence, and develop confidence through hands‑on exploration and guided instruction. Junior Kindergarten provides the perfect balance of play, routine, and early learning—preparing each child for a successful transition into kindergarten.

We offer before and after school care!

At Calvary Christian School, athletics are about far more than competition—they’re an opportunity to shape character, build confidence, and honor God through teamwork and perseverance. Our student‑athletes learn to work hard, lead with integrity, and support one another both on and off the field. Whether they’re practicing fundamentals or competing with passion, we encourage them to pursue excellence while reflecting Christ in their attitude and effort. Through sports, students discover their strengths, grow in resilience, and experience the joy of representing CCS with purpose. CCS offers competitive sports for grades 5-12 and intramurals for 3-8.

Find detailed information on our athletics program on SNAP

Our intramural sports program gives students in grades 3-8 the chance to build skills, stay active, and discover new interests in a fun, noncompetitive environment. Designed for all ability levels, intramurals focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and learning the fundamentals without the pressure of formal competition. Students get to try new activities, grow in confidence, and enjoy healthy play with their peers—making intramurals a great way to develop both physical skills and a love for movement.

Enrichment classes give students the chance to explore new interests, strengthen emerging skills, and discover talents beyond the core classroom experience. These hands‑on opportunities spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage creativity as students engage in activities that challenge and inspire them. Whether they’re diving into the arts, technology, problem‑solving, or practical life skills, enrichment classes help students grow as well‑rounded learners who love to learn. Elementary students take courses in Spanish, Technology, PE, Art, Library, and Music.
